Maruti Splash to hit Indian Market by 2009

The much awaited car Maruti Splash will hit Indian market by next year. The concept of the Maruti Splash was unveiled as a concept car in 2006 at Paris motor show. The Maruti Splash is the fourth new model for the Maruti Suzuki after the launch of Swift, Grand Vitara and SX4. It would be next small car segment in India by Maruti-Suzuki and one of the first of kinds in eco-friendly cars segment. Maruti Splash has a very refined and fuel efficient 1.2L petrol and the award-winning 1.3L multijet (DDiS) diesel engines are planned for the car. This car is expected to hit Indian roads early 2009.

All the engines of the Maruti splash are Euro4-compliant. Maruti Suzuki’s Splash is orientated strongly towards the European design style and the Suzuki designed the new small car that corresponds to the Splash name: youthful, fresh and stylish. Maruti Splash may price the car around its Wagon R, which comes with a tag of about Rs 3.50 lakh.
