Tamil Calendar 2009

As per the Tamil Calendar 2009, Pongal falls in the month of January 14. It is one of the major harvest festivals of South India. People do follow Tamil Calendar 2009 in order to know the auspicious time for to celebrate the festival. Pongal 2009 starts when Sun moves in Uttarayan and moves in Markara Rashi, according to Tamil Calendar 2009. Many astrologers and even common people of South India refer Tamil Calendar 2009 to know auspicious and inauspicious time across the year.

In southern India, this is a major festival, people wear new cloths and they celebrate for their new harvest. Tamil Calendar 2009 suggests people the do and don’t in order to celebrate the festival Pongal 2009. The celebration is dedicated to the Sun, and farmers thank the God and cattle for the good harvest. However, Pongal 2009 would be celebrated with gaiety across the South India as per the Tamil Calendar 2009.
